Brundtland and Beyond..... Towards a Global ProcessAbstractOur Common Future’, report of the World Commission on Environment and Development (1987) bridges north and south, east and west, provides an environmental context for the human phenomenon and adds an extended time-base as a fourth dimension. It is, however, the argument of this study that we require not only the ability to analyse the world system but also the capacity to change it. A further dimension of analysis is required, namely that of psycho-dynamics. Only in so far as we can increase consciousness of the global process can we begin to enact the agenda for global change.
