This paper presses behind the boundaries of Freudian analysis and applies psychoanalytic method to an understanding of the origin and contemporary dynamics of Judaism. The treatment raises fundamental question-marks at the heart of the Judaeo-Christian tradition as well as providing the basis of a deeper understanding of the persistent scapegoating of world Jewry and the roots of the current Middle Eastern conflict.
